All international visitors require a Tourist Card to visit Mexico. The nationals of some
countries are required to have, in addition, a visa issued by a Mexican Consulate with
their passports and a Tourist Card.
Persons under the age of 18 are either required to
travel with both parents, or legal guardians, or they will be required to travel with a
notarized permission from the parent, parents or legal guardian not traveling along. This
permit will allow the minor to travel by themselves, with only one parent, or in the
company of a third person. In addition, any traveler can be required at the port of entry,
by the immigration authorities to prove that he or she has enough financial means to
travel in Mexico.
