DAY 1
Bay Area ˇV Monterey Park ˇV Los Angeles
Travel south to Californiaˇ¦s largest city Los Angeles, where the rest of the afternoon is to your leisure. Stay in Los Angeles.
DAY 2
Los Angeles ˇV Joshua Tree National Park ˇV Las Vegas
In the morning head east towards the vast Mojave Desert. On the desert plain, visit
the National Park dedicated to the spectacular Joshua Tree.
The name Joshua Tree comes from
the Bible given by a Mormon Pioneer who thought the trees resembled the prophet Joshua with
his arms raised in the air. Joshua Trees are in fact neither trees nor cacti. They belong in
the same family as the lily and are considered to be large flowers. Within the National Park,
geological formations in the form of monolithic rocks cover the vast area as well as various
desert reptiles. After leaving the park, head towards the largest casino city in the world-
Las Vegas. Once there, youˇ¦ll have the choice of joining an optional tour, which would show
you the best resorts and hotels that Las Vegas has to offer, or you can have the freedom of
exploring the city on your own.
DAY 3
Las Vegas ˇV Death Valley National Park ˇV Los Angeles
The name Death Valley itself would be enough to convey a picture of a barren wasteland.
In reality, Death Valley is perhaps one of the most beautiful Valleyˇ¦s in the world.
Visit Zabreski Point, where the view of flat salt plains on the valley floor are visible.
From an elevation of 1000 meters at the north end of the valley, the land slopes down steadily
and for 70 miles the floor is below sea level, reaching a low point of -86 meters at Badwater,
the lowest point in the Western hemisphere and is considered to be one of the hottest places
in the world during the summer season. Every year between November and April, the weather is
perhaps the most suitable for travelers. Stay in Los Angeles.
DAY 4
Los Angeles ˇV Solvang ˇV Bay Area
In the morning, head north as you begin your journey back to the Bay Area. On the way,
visit the Danish immigrant town of Solvang. The word Solvang in Danish can be translated as
ˇ§sunny countrysideˇ¨, which in fact is true for almost the entire year. While in Solvang,
enjoy Danish pastries, cookies, and chocolates that make you feel as if you are in Denmark.
Then, we head back to the Bay Area.
